How to Connect Your Etsy Shop to Get Shouting

Create social media posts and ads from your Etsy listings. OAuth connection — no API keys required.

Prerequisites

  • An Etsy seller account with an active shop
  • Your Etsy shop name (the part in your shop URL: etsy.com/shop/YourShopName)
  • A Get Shouting account (create at getshouting.app if needed)

Etsy connection uses OAuth — you do not need to generate API keys manually. You will authorize Get Shouting through Etsy's secure authorization flow.

Step-by-Step Connection

Step 1: Log In to Get Shouting

  1. Go to getshouting.app
  2. Log in to your Get Shouting account
  3. Ensure you have at least one brand created

Step 2: Open Account Settings

  1. Click on your profile/account icon in the navigation bar
  2. Go to the Account page
  3. Click on the Store tab

Step 3: Initiate Store Connection

  1. Click the "Connect Store" button
  2. In the Connect Store dialog, select Etsy as your platform
  3. You will see a field to enter your Etsy shop name

Step 4: Enter Your Etsy Shop Name

Enter your store name exactly as it appears in your shop URL:

  • Example: If URL is https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyAwesomeShop, enter MyAwesomeShop
  • Use only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores
  • Do not include spaces, full URL, or etsy.com

To find your shop name: Go to etsy.com, sign in, click "Your Shop". Your shop name appears in the URL: etsy.com/shop/[YourShopName]

Step 5: Authorize on Etsy

You'll be redirected to Etsy's authorization page. Etsy will show permissions Get Shouting requests:

  • Read shop listings (products)
  • Read shop information
  • Read sales/receipts
  • Read your email (for account linking)

Review and click "Allow Access" or "Sign in" to authorize.

Step 6: Return to Get Shouting

After authorization, Etsy redirects you back. The connection completes automatically. You should see your Etsy shop listed in the Store tab with status "Connected" or "Active".

Verify Your Connection

  1. Go to the Store page in Get Shouting
  2. Click "Sync Now" to manually sync your Etsy listings (if available)
  3. Your Etsy products should appear in the catalog
  4. You can now create shouts and ads from your Etsy listings

Token Refresh

Etsy access tokens expire periodically. Get Shouting automatically refreshes your token when needed. If you experience sync failures: try disconnecting and reconnecting; ensure your Etsy account is in good standing; check that your shop is active and has listings.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid shop name format"

Use only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores. No spaces. No full URL or etsy.com.

"Shop not found"

Verify you entered the exact shop name (case-sensitive). Check at etsy.com/your/shops/me/dashboard

Connection not visible for my account

Etsy connection may be gated during beta. Contact Get Shouting support if Etsy is not an option.

Disconnecting

Go to Account → Store tab, find your connected Etsy shop, click "Disconnect". Confirm if prompted. Your Etsy authorization will be revoked.
